Seniors Match v Lincolnshire

The first seniors match of the season against Lincolnshire was held at Retford golf club. We played in the new format of two scratch and three handicap betterball matches. The course was in great condition with plenty of run and true greens. The matches were played in a competitive but friendly spirit and the final result was an honourable draw.

Veteran's Spring Meeting

The Spring meeting was held at Springwater GC on Monday 22nd May 2023. Congratulations to Jayne Mokes and Jean Potts, College Pines, on winning the Veterans Spring Meeting with a score of 41 points. They were delighted with their first win in a county competition.

A big thank you to the Springwater ladies for the excellent halfway house, especially the cakes. Thank you to all those at Springwater who helped to ensure a successful day. A final thanks to all the players for supporting the competition.

Seniors Matches 2023

Matches for Seniors have been arranged with Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire. The matches will be 4 Ball Better Ball Matchplay with a team of 10 players. The matches against Lincolnshire and Leicestershire will have five matches, 2 played off scratch and the other 3 off handicap. For the match against Derbyshire all matches will be played off handicap. Ideally Handicap Index limits for the scratch matches will be 14.0 and 36.0 for the handicap matches.

If you have played in veterans matches before you may have already been sent an availability form, or obtained one from your club representative but, if not, and you are interested in playing in these matches, could you please download one of the avilability forms, complete it and return to Anne Woolley by 30th April. Teams will then be selected after this date. Thank you all for your interest.
